Sacrificing Our Children to the Profit Gods

Americans have been convinced that the ruling class is the giver of jobs, and no sacrifice is too great to placate them, including the children of the country.
Testimony at Ron Johnson's hearings put the lie to that claim.  European countries have laws preventing the poisoning of their children, and the corporations still make profits, just not as much.
Make America Healthy Again?  Or not, we'll see.

Casino Economics

The US government and media is trying to convince Americans to give up their security in exchange for making the bankers richer.
It would be a hard sell, but they've been working on it since the Evil Reagan, telling people that Social Security is "bankrupt", but the rest of the system is working perfectly, so cut off Granny without remorse.
Correction:  I said that the interest on the debt is $800 billion, but now it's over a trillion.  Either way, it's still kept on the down low to citizens.

As the Biden administration moves to call opposition to covid measures and claims of election fraud potential terror threats, meaning that using your free speech to call out the government will be cause for prosecution, not just censorship, Glenn gives a history of the fight to protect our Bill of Rights.
The "You can't yell fire in a crowded theater" line the totalitarians love came from a case where an anti-WW1 speaker was imprisoned for his views.  Our overlords want to go back to those days, even though his conviction was overturned.
